Pasture-Raised Meats:
Pasture-Raised Chicken from Marion Acres
At our farm, we specialize in raising high-quality, pasture-raised chicken with a focus on regenerative farming practices. As a working poultry farm, our chickens are raised outdoors on open pasture, where they are moved to fresh grass every single day. This daily rotation ensures the birds have constant access to clean forage while naturally fertilizing and improving the health of our soil.
At around six weeks of age, our chickens are carefully brought to our on-site processing facility. Having processing right here on the farm allows us to maintain the highest standards of care, ensuring every bird is handled humanely and with respect from start to finish.
We are committed to using the whole animal. In our market, you’ll find a full range of cuts including whole chickens, breasts, thighs, drumsticks, tenders, as well as nutrient-rich parts like necks, feet, and organs.
Our processing season runs from May through November, with chickens processed twice a week. During this time, you can find fresh chicken available daily in our market. In the winter months, we stock our freezers with our pasture-raised chicken so you can enjoy it year-round.
